Thoughts on the bus

My shopping cart has 80% carbs in it. I caved and bought red meat. I’m excited to make myself an unhealthy burger when I get home. My excuse for not buying anything green is that I have plenty of vegetables at home right now. There is a sourdough loaf in one of the bags that I’m purchasing to return a few slices to cooper. The whole loaf was only 3 dollars. I feel it’s worth coming all the way to WinCo every so often. This only strengthens my resolve to get a driving license this summer. I wonder if my dad would still let me use the Miata. It does have an open back tho so it’d have to be repaired…

Being in that WinCo was depressing. So many mothers with 2 or more children with packed shopping carts. A man behind me had 2 items, so I let him pass. He remarked that there should be a 15 items or less line. I agree. The next old man behind me piled more than 30 cans on the conveyer belt. He exclaimed that his wife had recently had surgery done to her teeth. I found it very sweet that he is thinking of her that way. He mentioned that this is uncharacteristic of him, but I replied to him that at least there’s less work to be done to prepare the food.

Saw man with young daughter or sister at the bus stop. He borrowed another bus riders phone to call presumably a relative, about how the police keep dismissing his case and being rude. It looked like he was crying. Upon closer inspection, he had red tears. I overheard him saying that the case was about how he got attacked and had acid flung onto his face. They were not tears at all.
